Advanced Search

An advanced search lets you search using a word or words as you would doing a basic search, but allows you to create a boolean search string (or sentence) and to use search terms established by the search engine you are using (for example, in some databases, au, ti, or an ERIC descriptor.)

Example:
  • in the ERIC database, to search a descriptor: DE = Technology Transfer
