Entrepreneurship and Social Investment in the Inner City: Problems and Opportunities

On  Wednesday, November 15, Jeremy Nowak, President of The Reinvestment Fund, will address the importance of investor-led approaches to solving social problems; the critical use of high-quality information; the emerging new role of the public sector as evidenced by school reform; and the promises and limits of small business development in the inner city.  

The mission of The Reinvestment Fund is to create opportunity and build wealth for low-wealth communities and families. The organization provides financing for housing, small businesses, commercial real estate projects, community facilities, and energy conservation. 

Sponsored by the Diversity Action Council and the Social Entrepreneurship Speaker Series, this presentation is free and open to the public.  Light refreshments will be served.
